The beaches along the Northern Pacific Coast (the Guanacaste area) are amongst the most beautiful in Costa Rica. This region is also popular for it’s all-inclusive hotels. If you are looking for a secluded, safe, family friendly beach and hotel that is NOT all inclusive, you have got to try Hotel Sugar Beach!

The Fortuna area is a family friendly adventure hub! It is a wonderful place to visit for at least 3 days! There is so much to do in this area. La Fortuna is the town that sits at the base of Arenal Volcano. This area is known for it’s volcanic thermal springs, many adventurous excursions, Arenal National Park, Lake Arenal,  lush vegetation, and incredible views of Volcán Arenal.

Monteverde

Monteverde is definitely off the beaten path, which makes it special! Monteverde, sits atop the continental divide at 4,662 feet and is one of the few cloud forests in Costa Rica. There is also a small town surrounding this unique ecosystem called Santa Elena. If you are up for an adventure that takes you away from the beaches and into another world of ecosystems, animal habitats, and adventure you will love Monteverde.  

Orosi Valley

If you are looking to take the road less traveled on your vacation, look no further. The Orosi Valley has breathtaking scenery, it’s quaint and historic and receives dar fewer visitors than other hot spots throughout the country.

The beaches along the Southern Pacific Coast are widely visited by people from all over the world and when talking about Manuel Antonio, it is hands down one of the most popular beach towns in Costa Rica!

Puerto Viejo

The Puerto Viejo / Cahuita area is the largest tourist destination on Costa Rica’s small Caribbean coastline. This small town and the surrounding area is known for it’s crystal clear waters, laid back beach attitude, surf and bicycles as the main mode of transportation.
