We know that individual Spanish lessons (Private Spanish tutoring) is essential for busy students and professionals trying to learn Spanish.

CGI works with all age ranges from college and high school Spanish students to families and professional adults every year. All of our clients improve their comfort and confidence with Spanish.  If you’re in a formal Spanish class at the moment, we will contact your instructor to make sure that you’re working on exactly what you need for success. If you’re not in a formal class you have complete flexibility to work on the topics and get the conversational practice that you’re most interested in.

How does it work?

It’s a pretty simple process. Our primary goal is to make sure that you’re getting the help you want and need. Finding a tutor who is a good fit for you is essential. Once you get registered with your initial block of 10hrs of tutoring, you’ll complete a Spanish placement test so that we can see what you need to work on. You’ll work out your meeting schedule with your tutor, and get started as soon as possible. At the conclusion of every 10hr block, we’ll assess your progress to make sure that you’re on track to meeting your goals with Spanish tutoring. If, at any point, you feel that you need to make a switch with instructors, contact us and we’ll make the necessary arrangements for you.

When and where do I meet with my tutor?

Our Spanish tutors are flexible.  We will be happy to meet you at your school, home or office. Many students prefer to meet in a conveniently located coffee shop.  Online Spanish lessons can be from the comfort of your own home. It is best to have one consistent meeting time and location week after week, but the beauty of your private Spanish lessons is that locations and scheduling are extremely flexible. Face to face Spanish tutors are currently only available in the Denver, CO area. All individual Spanish lessons outside of the greater Denver area are online Spanish lessons.

How often do I meet with my Spanish tutor?

The frequency of your Spanish tutoring sessions is flexible. Most of our clients have lessons once a week, but you are able to meet more or less frequently if you like.

Does Common Ground offer Online Spanish Tutoring?

Yes, we offer online Spanish tutoring through video conferencing software.  You work with a native Spanish speaker who is a professional Spanish teacher for fantastically low rates. The general expectation is that you will establish a relatively consistent schedule.
