Por vs. Para – Spanish Workshop Series

If you’ve ever had trouble saying “for” or “by” in Spanish, you’re not alone! In this Por vs Para workshop we will explore the grammatical rules and contexts in which por and para are used, helping you to use them accurately in sentences.

 

In this workshop series, you will take a deep dive into the specific uses of por and para. You will learn the key to distinguishing which one to use.

For example, which one would you use in these phrases:

• Are you selling these three for a dollar?
• That piece of cake is for him.
• He is on vacation for 10 days.
• My father works for univision.
• That book was written by Juan Rulfo.

Join this 3 part workshop series and we’ll help you use some acronyms to remember when to use “Por  y para”  

• Part 1: June 6: How to use POR and the most common uses.
• Part 2: June 20: How to use PARA and the most common uses.
• Part 3: July 11: Putting POR and PARA together

Each workshop will last approximately 60-75 minutes and will take place on Zoom. You will have access to the class replay, as well as downloadable lesson notes and homework to practice after the workshop.

Who is this class ideal for?

The ideal student has studied Spanish before and has a working knowledge of present tense verbs and knows how to conjugate them. You are also able to communicate in the present tense and can form and express sentences.
