La Fortuna offers a great weekend of adventurous activities at the base of Volcán Arenal. While we’re on this excursion, you can go zip-lining through the rainforest canopy, take a hanging bridges tour, relax in the thermal pools and go for a waterfall hike!
We will also visit SarchÃ, a small town with hundreds of family owned wooden arts and crafts stores, and one of the best places to buy souvenirs. Join us for the adventurous weekend! This optional excursion includes:
- 2 nights lodging at a great hotel off the beaten track
- Breakfast included
- Waterfall hike to Catarata La Fortuna- entrance to park included
- Baldi Hot Springs
- Visit to Sarchà artisan town
- Private transportation
Optional activities in the area:

*Hotel rooms will be shared, most are double occupancy, some are triple. Participants will have own bed. Private accommodations might be available for an additional fee. In case you need a private room please contact us.Â
IMPORTANT: We’ll leave early Saturday morning and return Monday afternoon. If your program ends and want to fly home after this excursion, please book a flight for after 4pm on Monday or early Tuesday morning.

Absolutely amazing weekend – don’t miss this trip! The guided walks (tarantula, monkeys, birds, viper!), the zipline, the hot springs and the incredible small hotel (really a resort) where we stayed – absolutely would do it again (and again and again).

Do this tour! Wow, this tour was an experience. Yes, it’s expensive but it’s worth it. The views in this place you can’t even imagine without seeing them. I had a lot of fun and the things we had the opportunity to do were incredible. If you want to visit the largest hot springs in the world, go on this excursion. You won’t be sorry.
