Bahía Ballena – Beach & National Park

The stretch of the South Pacific Costa Rica coastline from Dominical to Ojochal, known as the Costa Ballena, and is famous for whale spotting, wildlife and beautiful rainforest that runs right onto the beach! The South Pacific Coast is a less touristy area with pristine beaches, diverse wildlife, and untouched rainforest. If you want an absolutely beautiful and unique beach experience with lots of wildlife and rainforest- join this excursion.

Excursion dates:

• Weekend of July 18-20, 2026

(Saturday – Monday: Return for 2nd half of Spanish classes ≈3:30p – 5:00p) 

We will visit the national park, visit a waterfall and relax at a beautiful hotel surrounded by rainforest and incredible beach views.

• We will depart Santo Domingo Saturday morning
• We will return to Santo Domingo Monday morning before lunch
• This excursion includes: private transportation, shared hotel lodging, national park entrance and guide.
• *hotel rooms will be shared, most are double occupancy, some are triple. Participants will have own bed. If you want your own private room- you have that option as well when you register.
• OPTIONAL: Join this optional whale watching tour to see the great humpback whales, the local pod of dolphins and snorkel. This is a 1/2 boat trip in the National Park. Register HERE.
