You’ve seen or at least heard of the big coffee companies in Costa Rica; now it’s time to get your feet dirty (not really) at a local CAFETALÂ (coffee farm) in Santo Domingo, Costa Rica. This is a multi- generation coffee farm that has been in production for 3 generations. Their coffee is delicious!
On this tour / tasting- we will walk around the cafetal and learn about the different stages of growing, how this small batch coffee is harvested and end with a tasing and some snacks. You won’t want to miss this hidden gem right in the heart of your Costa Rica Immersion Program!

Wendy Schaffer –
Totally lovely excursion! First an in-depth personal history of Rancho Arizona and the hows of a working coffee plantation (family-owned/operated, history given by a member of the family who runs Rancho now), then a walking tour – just beautiful, and then a delicious coffee tasting with home-baked pastries as well. Loved it!
