The future tense is used to describe events that will happen.
Viajaremos el año que viene.
- We’ll travel this coming year.
Ellos comprarán un carro nuevo pronto.
- They will buy a new car soon.
The present tense is often used to discuss the immediate future.
Voy al médico hoy.
- I’m going to the doctor today.
¿Vienes a mi casa esta tarde?
- Are you coming to my house this afternoon?
Conjugations of the future tense in Spanish.
The future tense is formed with only one set of endings for all verbs. To conjugate the future tense, do NOT remove the infinitive endings, rather attach the ending the infinitive forms.

Several verbs take on irregular stems in the future tense. Add the future ending to the irregular stem.
